Insulators have no conductivity because of there is no conductivity electrons. Because of there energy gap between valance band and conduction band (5eV)

                                                       

Conductors

Conductors is high conductivity material. because of there no energy gap between valance band and conduction band.

Semiconductors

In semiconductors small energy gap between valance band and conduction band. The conductivity of semiconductors lies between Conductors and Insulators. When the temperature is low, semiconductors behaves like a insulator, When increase the temperature more and more semiconductors behaves like a conductor.
