CHEMICAL REACTIONS
CHEMICAL REACTIONS
Chemical Reaction: The things which occurs new substances
form with new products.
There are four types of chemical Reactions:
1)Combination Reaction
2)Decomposition Reaction
3)Displacement Reactions
4)Double Displacement Reaction
1) Combination Reaction: In a Chemical Reaction the single product form two are more reactants. Ex: CaO + H2O → Ca(OH)2 + Heat
C + O2 → CO2
2)Decomposition Reaction : In a compound splits two are more reactants
Ex: FeSO4 → Fe2 O3 + SO2 + So3
CaCO3 →Cao + CO2
There are three decomposition are there:
i) Thermal decomposition reaction
ii) Electric decomposition reaction
iii)Light energy decomposition reaction
i) Thermal decomposition reaction: When a chemical reaction carried out
by heating.
Ex: CaCO3 → CaO + CO2
ii)Electric decomposition reaction: When a chemical reaction carried out
by electricity.Ex: Pb(NO3) → PbO + NO2 + O2
iii) Light energy decomposition reaction: When a chemical reaction carried out Sun Light.
Ex: AgCl → Ag + Cl2
Ex:Fe + CuSO4 →FeSO4 + Cu
Zn + CuSO4 → Zn SO4 + Cu
4)Double Displacement Reaction: Two different atoms or groups of ions are exchanged.
Ex: Na2SO4 + BaCl2 → BaSO4 + NaCl
